Introduction
There are benefits which accrue to us as a result of being in His presence. Here are some human responses to the presence of God.
I. His presence brings peace
Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Philippians 4:6-8 (NKJV) Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy; meditate on these things.
II. His presence brings joy
Acts 2:28 (NKJV) You have made known to me the ways of life; You will make me full of joy in Your presence.'
Psalms 16:11 (NKJV) You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
III. His presence brings security
Psalms 23:4 (NKJV) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
2 Chronicles 20:9 (NKJV) 'If disaster comes upon us; sword, judgment, pestilence, or famine; we will stand before this temple and in Your presence (for Your name is in this temple), and cry out to You in our affliction, and You will hear and save.'
Psalms 140:13 (NKJV) Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; The upright shall dwell in Your presence.
Proverbs 18:10 (NKJV) The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.
IV. His presence hallows
Acts 7:33 (NKJV) 'Then the LORD said to him, "Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground.
Leviticus 22:32 (NKJV) "You shall not profane My holy name, but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel. I am the LORD who sanctifies (hallows) you,
